Sometimes all or part of a song can feel personal, maybe it details a feeling that we can't put into words ourselves. what lyrics mean something to or strike a cord with you?

The only one I can think of dates back to my teens.
It's pretty much the whole of Alanis morrisettes album 'jagged little pill'
In particular the song 'you oughta know':

It reminds me of an ex who really hurt me. Kind of like when somebody is really horrible when they didn't have to be.

I love music and often relate to it but I have a mind like a sieve and never remember these things lol. 90s music reminds me of a teenager and 80s music takes me back to childhood

I loved Jagged Little Pill. I remember coming back from Reading Festival in 1996 in the back of a van listening to Head Over Feet with tears streaming down my face. I'd met the love of my life (or so I thought!) at the festival, it was heartbreaking to leave him!
At the moment it is Passenger Let Her Go, it is exactly how I feel about losing Madeleine, although the song isn't about that.
